How do I add an additional FTP account in cPanel?

  1. Login to your cpanel account: mydomain.com/cpanel
  2. Now that your logged into cpanel, under the "Files" group tab is a section "FTP Accounts" click on that.

This is the screen where you can create an additional FTP account. To create the ftp account, Enter a username. This will be the ftp account username you will use to login (myftp@mydomain.com). In the Password box, type the account’s password. Retype the password in the Password (Again) box. Specify a directory you wish to grant access via FTP to this account. For example /public_html or /myftpuser.

The Directory field defines the default directory and the top level of directory access that will be granted to the new account. Example, an account with a Directory assignment of /dir will not be allowed to access the /home (root) directory. However, it will be able to access all of its sub-folders within /dir/subfolder1 for example.

Set your disk quotas for the account. Final step is to click create account
